Now that the summer holidays are really behind us, shall we agree that we will never wait for a holiday again? If you're thinking "how?!", then read on! Because busy everyday life can sometimes feel like an endless treadmill, where we live from weekend to weekend and the desire for a holiday increases. But what if I told you that you don't have to miss a vacation or wait for those few days off to relax?

Here are three simple tips to find a little rest and relaxation every day, so you don't miss the holidays and live from weekend to weekend.

Tip 1 - Moments of mindful breathing

Take a few moments throughout the day to breathe consciously and calm your thoughts. This can be as short as a minute. Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. Feel the air flowing in and out of your body. These moments of mindfulness help to relax your mind and give you a feeling of calm, similar to the feeling you have during a relaxing vacation.

Tip 2 - Create a personal escape moment

Set aside at least 15 minutes for yourself every day. This can be your personal escape moment. Go outside for a quiet walk, listen to soothing music, read a chapter of a book you like, or simply enjoy a cup of tea without distractions. This brief moment of personal time gives you a chance to catch your breath and nourish yourself, just like a short vacation break.

For example, start integrating fika into your day. You also read about this in my Happlify your life book . Fika can be found on page 88.

Tip 3 - Integrate mini-adventures into your routine

You don't have to go far to experience adventure. Integrate little surprises into your daily routine. Try a new hiking trail, visit a local market, try a new recipe , or take part in a short online workshop about something you're curious about. These mini-adventures break the monotony and make you feel like you're away for a while, without actually having to leave your surroundings.
