Chocolate-la-la! Did you know that chocolate makes you happy? When you eat chocolate, chemicals are produced in the brain that make you feel good. British researchers showed that the smell of chocolate has a calming effect. All the more reason to make this delicious chocolate surprise!
Chocolate spoons are great as a gift or you can surprise your visitors with them.
What do you need for these sweet happy makers?
-
Milk chocolate and white chocolate
-
Sprinkles
-
(Heat-resistant) spoons
-
Skewer
-
Cellophane
-
Ribbon
This is how you make them
- Melt the white and milk chocolate in a bain marie (in separate bowls). Remove them from the heat and set aside. In the meantime, place a piece of baking paper on a plate.
- Choose nice spoons. I used earthenware spoons from Bunzlau Castle .
- You can also use wooden disposable spoons or how about cheerful colored spoons from Rice ?
- Scoop up a generous amount of milk chocolate with each spoon. Make sure they are well filled. Place the spoonfuls on the baking paper.
- Sprinkle some white chocolate over the spoons of milk chocolate with a teaspoon. Make sure that the milk chocolate has not yet solidified. Run the tip of a skewer through the chocolate to create a marbled effect. As a finishing touch, decorate them with sprinkles!
- When the chocolate spoons have completely cooled you can wrap them. Place a small piece of cellophane over the spoon and secure it with a ribbon. The nice thing about this gift is that when you use reusable spoons, it is also sustainable. After you have enjoyed the chocolate, you will have beautiful spoons that you can enjoy for a long time. Who doesn't enjoy a homemade gift?
How do you use this chocolate surprise?
Important! Provide good company or a me-time moment.
Take a cup of warm milk and stir the spoon until the chocolate is completely dissolved. Or... just not completely resolved and you eat the last bit of melted chocolate from your spoon, Mmmmm!
