But how do you stay positive when everything around you seems to be going wrong? No airy-fairy tips, but practical tools that you can apply today. Let's discover together how to keep the sunshine in your home, even when it's stormy outside. And... the sun doesn't always shine, so you don't have to either!!

1 - Accept that things are not going well (for a while)

It's okay to feel bad. Really. Sometimes it helps to just tell yourself, "This is just a shitty day." By acknowledging your feelings, you give yourself space to process them.

2 - Create small moments of happiness

It sounds so cliché now, but happiness is really almost always in a small corner. A cup of tea in your favorite mug, a walk in the fresh air, or a good book on the couch. Plan consciously moments that give you pleasure.

3 - Limit negative stimuli

News and social media can be overwhelming. Give yourself a digital detox. Turn off notifications and consciously choose when and how you consume information. It’s okay to know what’s going on in the world, but you don’t have to carry the burden of the whole world. And you can’t.

4 - Surround yourself with positivity

Seek out the people who give you energy. A good conversation, laughing together or just being together can do wonders. And don't forget: you are also such a person for others.

5 - Be kind to yourself

Don't set the bar too high. You don't always have to do everything perfectly. Give yourself some rest and be proud of the small steps you take.
